April 15, 2008 by Sarah Nelson
Nokia 6212 has been renewed. This classic phone now supports NFC which stands for Near Field Communications. Actually NFC is a next generation content sharing technology used by mobile phones. It allows you to contact very easily between bluetooth enabled handsets and share media. The previous phone that supported this technology was Nokia 6131.

“NFC-capable handsets such as the Nokia 6212 classic are set to change the way mobile phone users interact with devices and services in their surroundings,” says Jeremy Belostock, the Head of Near Field Communications, Nokia. “With the Nokia 6212 classic, people can swap items like business cards or calendar notes by simply tapping their handsets together.”
You can easily share weblinks, audio files or contact data by just clicking the NFC enabled tag. This application like a web browser.
The phone is expected to cost 300 Euros.
